"Fetch me my Burberry"
In the early twentieth century, to pronounce an invitation that sounded exceptional was King Edward VII. His Majesty thus officially annexed an overcoat impermeable to his wardrobe and baptized, first in history, a garment with the surname of those who had made it: an English tailor with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
The invention of the trench, the study and production of gabardine (1880), the habit of lining the garments with a recognizable check are elements of a genetic code that allowed the brand to cross the ages and embody the spirit of its nation .
And today Burberry parades with men's and women's lines, realizes accessories, shoes, bags, umbrellas, glasses and perfumes under the guidance of an Italian creative director: Riccardo Tisci.
